After our exhausting trip in Sri Lank we went for a relaxing time on the beach in Maldives, located southwest from Sri Lanka and about 1.000 km from Asian continente.
We flew from Colombo to Male International Airport in Hulhulé Island on the 8 pm flight from Emirates. From there we switched to the the domestic airport where we took another plane to Maamigili island and from there a boat to Nalaguraidhoo island (107 km south Malé), the location of Sun Island Resort Hotel.
Sun Island Resort has an exclusive location on the island so there are not much to do apart from appreciate the tropical island paradise or go on a large variety of paid (and well paid) activities:
- diving;
- excursions;
- sailing
- fishing;
- snorkeling;
- water sports.
Suggestion: take your own snorkelling gear so you can appreciate coral reef and swim with exotic fishes. You can also use it if you want to experience swimming with whale sharks (70€/person without guarantee of seeing it).
Enjoy free activities such as fitness classes in the morning, running across the island (amazing running trails) and sharks and stingrays feeding at sunset.
